Mark Feinberg, Ph.D., Developer & Lead Researcher
Mark is a Research Professor and Senior Scientist at Penn State’s Prevention Research Center for the Promotion of Human Development. He has developed and researched Family Foundations with funding from the National Institutes of Health. Family Foundations is the result of years of his work as a clinical psychologist, family therapist, and prevention scientist at Penn State University. He spent his early childhood years living on a military base, while his father served in the United States Air Force. Mark has three adolescent children.
Jesse Boring, Ph.D., Lead Web Developer
Jesse is responsible for developing the content and coding structure of the online adaptation of Family Foundations. His primary focus is on the development and evaluation of online prevention programs for children and families. He is particularly interested in developing methods for improving engagement and maximizing participation rates in online programs. He has worked with the Penn State and Arizona State Prevention Research Centers to develop web-based interventions and group leader trainings for multiple online mental health programs.
Michelle Hostetler, Ph.D., Program Manager
Michelle is the project manager and point of contact for the Military Family Foundations Study. Her work has focused on prevention program implementation and evaluation, work-family issues, and family relationships, and she has worked with Dr. Feinberg on Family Foundations since 2009. She received her PhD in Human Development and Family Studies from Penn State University. Michelle is a Research Associate in the Prevention Research Center, Pennsylvania State University.
